Manchester Nightlife

What can be said about the Manchester’s nightlife?? Well, that’s simple….its got it all!
Whether you’re a crazy club head, a Burberry wearing binge drinker, an indie mosher or just dazed and confused Manchester caters for everyone.

After all this is a city which is considered as the heart and soul of the UK music scene. Remember the “Madchester” period of the late 80’s and 90’s? This legendary era brought about the likes of The Happy Mondays, New Order, The Smiths, Morrisey and who can forget the legendary Hacienda club.

Manchester is constantly at the forefront of todays music and the variety of bars and clubs in the city backs that up. Not to mention the warehouse project which can be described in word one…..EPIC! That’s a bold shout for something that only lasts for 3 months of the year but the sell out crowd who attend every week will back that up.

Manchester’s nightlife is constantly evolving and there’s no better place to see this for your own eye’s than in The Northern Quarter.

The Northern Quarter
The NQ is home to some of the best independent bars in Manchester offering a fine ecletic taste of foreign beers, lush cocktails, and there’s always a high likelihood of bumping into yesterdays has been or tomorrow’s next big thing.

The Gay Village
The Gay Village is located in the centre of Manchester and is renowned for its many pubs, bars and night clubs. It is known all over the world and attracts thousands of visitors, and not just of the gay variety.

Peter Street
Peter Street is stag and hen do heaven!! It ticks all the boxes for those from out of town coming for a good weekend of boozing. but also

Castlefield
If your not feeling the hustle and bustle of town, and want to avoid the Rockport wearing lads of the city centre then Castelfield is the place to go. It can be described as a hidden gem, but is still within a stones throw from the popular Deansgate Locks. Castlefield is located alongside the Bridgewater and Rochdale Canals and is home to two of the most popular summer drinking destinations, Barca and Dukes 92. It provides a lovely historic setting and has an abundant array of old school British Pubs, as well as an excellent choice of restaurants.

The Printworks
The Printworks is probably the most popular nights out in Manchester, attracting around 150,000 people every weekend!! This is a far cry from a few years back when the Printowrks sustained considerable damage in the IRA bombing of Manchester in 1996. The Printworks is a state of the art complex centre built to the tune of £150 million and covering some 350,000 square feet of floor space and home to more branded bars such as The Hard Rock Café, Tiger Tiger, Lloyds Bar, Norweigan Blue as well as the huuuge nightclubs like Opus and Pure.

It also has restaurants of various ethnic cuisines, a gym and a state of the art 20 screen cinema.

Clubbing In Manchester
Well, this is where it all started isn’t it? The home of the infamous Hacienda which brought about the names of Tony Wilson, Shaun Ryder, Peter Hook and who could forget Manchester’s favourite son……Bez.

The clubbing scene in Manchester was slightly dormant for a few years but is now back with a BANG!! Manchester boasts some of the best club nights in the UK. Sankeys is one of the biggest club nights around, and the fact that it is constantly voted in the top club charts in DJ Magazine backs that up. However for 3 months of the year the Warehouse Project is in town. The Warehouse Project is in its third season of events, with each one being more and more impressive. With debuts for La Roux and little boots alongside returning international DJ’s such as Sasha, Annie Mac, Simian Mobile Disco, Skream and Goldie, the Warehouse Project has pushed the boundaries once again. Oh, did I mention Faithless and Groove Armada???

Whatever floats your boat, Manchester’s nightlife has got it all. FACT!!!!
