Since opening in 1995 the Manchester Evening Arena has staged some of the biggest names in live entertainment with massive acts like Madonna, Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam through to local legends such as Take That and world class boxing showcases such as Ricky ‘The Hitman’ Hatton. The MEN’s clever adaptable design has made it a popular venue for live acts, sporting events and huge productions such as the Cirque De Soliel.

The MEN arena is the largest permanent venue in Manchester and is located in the heart of the city centre directly above Victoria train station. The Manchester Evening News arena was constructed as part of Manchester’s unsuccessful bid for the Olympic summer games it cost £52 million to build with £35.5M from government grants and £2.5M from the European Economic Development Fund.

The MEN arena has achieved some impressive accolades over the last few years being named ‘Busiest Arena Venue In The World’ for the last five years based on ticket sales for concerts beating some of the world’s biggest venues including Madison Square Garden’s in NY and the O2 Arena in London.
